In the ancient world, broken fragments of pottery were often used as note paper, or, as was the case in Athens, ‘Ostraca’ were used as ballots to vote out anyone they wished to see banished from the city.
‘Mancostraca’ asks Manchester residents who they would like to see exiled.
Fragments of broken pottery were used to recreate the idea of ‘ostraca’.
